Perfecting Word Deliverance Ministries, is a church and a deliverance ministry. The vision was given to our founder and
Pastor Steven L. Glover and First Lady Evangelist Lisha Glover, both natives of Alabama.
In the year of 1994, Pastor
Glover began a bible study in his apartment with his wife, fellow co-workers and friends. The bible study began to grow and
the adversary (the devil) got busy attempting to oppose the vision. In July 1995 Perfecting Word became official and was renamed
Perfecting Word Deliverance Ministries Incorporated. Blessed be the name of the Lord!!!!!!!!!
Church services were
first held at 3100 Sweetwater Road located in the Lake Sweetwater Apartments. The first members were a small group of four
Darlena McGee, Robert McGee, Sister Mechel Woody, and Teshune Bernard.
After a couple of months the ministry moved
to the Travel Lodge and within a couple of weeks to the Laquinta Inn. The Lord spoke and said he would add to the church.
And the ministry grew with the addition of the Woody Family, and Sister Ossiereen Jones.
Pastor Glover received
the word to further the vision and in January 1996 we moved to the Eating Exchange Banquet Hall (this was our first church
home). Minister Robert McGee was our first ordained minister, and the Lord continued to add; The Moran Family, the Jenkins
Family and our first church mother Addie Walker.
Sister Darlena McGee, Sister Teshune Tyson (who are now evangelists)
formed our first Praise Team. Darryl Jenkins, being obedient to God answered the calling and were ordained ministers.
HALLEUIAH !!! Perfecting Word Deliverance Ministries was on the move.

October 1997, The Perfecting Word Family found themselves in need of a new church home, after being
informed we could no longer have services at Eating Exchange. As a church family Perfecting Word sincerely believed that if
God called and established us, then He would work things out according to His Will and Guess What, HE DID!!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!
As result of continual prayer, The Lord ordered our Pastors steps and led him to 6991 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. (our
current location). And just like he said he added, and increased our church family with More Morans , the Browns, the Evans,
and Jones Family. Then came the Mills, the Jackson, the Dunkley and the Jefferies family just to name a few. Not only did
he add to the family, he increased our church home. We started at this location with 1300 square feet. We now occupy 1850
square feet of this building. We serve an AWESOME GOD.
God has tremendously moved on Pastor Glover and the Perfecting
Word Family. What started with 4 now has grown to 130 active members.
In June of 1998, being obedient to Lord, Pastor
Glover stepped out in faith and became the full-time Pastor of Perfecting Word Deliverance Ministries Inc.
Today God
has added even more Ministers, Evangelists, and Deacons. The Lord has blessed us with a faithful musician and Minister of
Music, Edna Cox and her son, our drummer Shawn Cox. And the blessing continues with Minister Kenny Moran who is now our Assistant
Pastor.
Five years has brought us a seasoned ministerial staff, and a congregation with maturity. We understand that
everything grows through trials and tribulations. God has spoken and He is working to perfect his children through His Word.
We are pressing toward the mark of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through all the tests, God has proven that he has placed his approval
upon Perfecting Word. We realize the Best is yet to come. And this years theme is NEW MILLENIUM NEW MOVE. Were moving from
Glory to Glory. PRAISE THE LORD.
